Just a few photos of how my chickens are growing. I got my first chicks, 2 Rhode Island Reds and 3 Barred Rocks, on January 30, 2009. They were about a week and a half old.
On February 7, we let them "free range" for the first time. Butterbean had the best time chasing them around the yard.
I fell in love with
the idea of getting some Americana chickens, because they lay pastel colored eggs. So on February 12th, Butterbean and I went out to the Farm Supply Store in Folsom and picked up 4 more!
